About The Role

The instrumentation Master Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of electrical and instrument equipment as well as troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading a wide variety of electrical systems, equipment, and components in all of the 44.01 facility and injection sites. , you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities, and ensuring that all repair and maintenance tasks are carried out to the highest standard. The instrument/electrical master technician must possess extensive knowledge and experience in industrial instruments and electrical equipment, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations

What You'll Do
  • Performs the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of electrical and instrumentation control systems, equipment, and components including, but not limited to,  DB, MDB, high and low-voltage motors, panel wiring, transmitters, HMI, DCS and PLC. 
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and performs preventative or scheduled maintenance for all electrical, instruments and control systems.  
  • Provides technical input and equipment specification recommendations for rotating equipment’s motors, pumps, compressors, cooling system , and capturing plant system modifications. 
  • Documents work completed, work in progress, and annual permit requirements on computerized maintenance history records.
  • Provides maintenance support to operation team staff for the operation and maintenance of the injection and capturing plant. 
  •  Performs electrical work including repairs to lighting fixtures, installs new switches and outlets, runs new circuits, controls wiring, and provides estimates for such works.
  •  Installs and performs maintenance on fire alarm systems, data cabling and HVAC unit control systems. 
  • Performs maintenance on standby generators, their control system, and SCADA systems for the injection site. 
  •  Performs Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Programming. 
  • Perform instrumentation calibration.
  • Installing and performing diagnostic tests on instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Developing and implementing instrumentation and electrical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting instrument malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
  • Documenting processes and maintaining instrument and electrical service records.
  • Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
  • Training co-workers on safely and efficiently using electrical machinery and equipment.
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to Company HSSE regulations and policies.
Who You Are
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an electrical/instrumentation technician in a related industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical, instrument engineering, or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge of instrument and electrical engineering, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Proficiency in instrument maintenance and diagnostic testing software.
  • Experience in PLC, SCADA, DCS, CNC, VB Scripting on major automation brands i.e., SIEMENS, ROCKWELL.
  • Experienced in PCS7 software.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to perform tasks with minimum supervision 
  • Great organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to perform maintenance and repairs outside of business hours.
  • Willing to travel to different locations for maintenance tasks. 
  • Experience in maintenance of motors, VFD, PLC, transmitters, SCADA.
  • Excellent computer and report writing skills
