General Manager

About The Role

44.01 is expanding its carbon mineralisation business to other territories and is looking for its first hire in Norway to set up our Norwegian operations and enable business development. The General Manager will be responsible for engaging with authorities and stakeholders to enable business development. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of business management, and ideally a technical background in mechanical, chemical, process and/or geoengineering.

What You'll Do

Setting up 44.01’s office in Norway and lead its operation.
Foster and develop relationships with stakeholders, customers, clients and partners (e.g. Equinor, government institutions, universities, service providers etc.)
Research and identify new business opportunities, including new projects, customers and partnerships.
Lead on and support business development including bid-writing for new grants and contracts.
Have a good understanding of 44.01’s business and its technology.
Participate in the day-to-day operation and execution of the company’s strategy.

Who You Are

You are passionate about developing new solutions to fight against climate change and are committed to having a positive impact on people and the planet.
Understand and believe in sustainability and carbon management.
Independent, self-driven, extrovert, with understanding of decision-making processes in politics and public administration.
A self-starter who will display comfort and resourcefulness in working without extensive corporate governance or support.
Willing to travel within Norway and internationally.
Skilled at problem solving, critical thinking, multi- tasking, building and managing relationships.
Excellent spoken and written Norwegian and English.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, and experience managing and leading high-performing teams.
You will be flexible, pragmatic and willing to assist with duties outside of your domain when required for the business. You have a growth-oriented mindset and want to develop solutions that scale.
